Most worriesome to me is that we're not taking this opportunity to learn from our mistakes. It seems probable that the worst-run states (California, New Jersey, New York) will get bailouts as part of Blondie Bumstead's, err, Barack Obama's shopping spree.

Once that money is gone, those states will come right back to the same point as their structural problems will not have been addressed.

Further, I don't see any business case for any of the investments Barack is proposing. I posted about that here:
