I have the entire IBD 50 in the file above - let me know if there are other attributes you would like me to include next time...
I have color-coded to share my positive and negative impressions. First, my own watchlist intersection consists of CRR, EZPW and CHSI. I like the latter two, especially EZPW (ST Trade still). CRR, which I had not liked from a technical perspective, seems a bit expensive, but I am not negative.
The two negatives are FOSL, which I didn't mind from a valuation perspective at year-end, but which looks unsustainably expensive to me now. It's a good company, but the insiders have been liquidating over the past few years. They also lost a key employee. I shared my negative view on AGP last week.
On the positives, SOLR kills me. You may recall that I highlighted the stock a few minutes after their game-changing contract was disclosed (for LED ovens). I didn't know the company well enough to have confidence, but it has soared subsequently. The company is about to change its name, which may remove some of the "solar" stigma. More importantly, the stock is very cheap.
EZPW is cheap and working. I have it in a client's private model - wish I had gotten it into Top 20. My target suggests big upside. It's a great stock for the times (slow growth) - it's peers CHS and FCFS look good too.
I mentioned DLTR, CHSI, and ROST last week and won't rehash. VMW is a company I have never looked that closely at, but the attributes are awesome in my view. MA has been held back on regulatory issues as well as concerns about the economy - this blue chip looks pretty good to me at 15.4PE. Finally, NUS is a great play on Chinese beauty. I had mentioned the stock a while back I believe - the management team is highly incentivized to grow EPS at about 14%, which works well. Note the short-interest too.
SRCL is a great company, but this stock is working because the market isn't. I would be careful with that one.
I do have strong views on "quality" for several others - let me know if there is a name that interests you.
