Cannabis stocks continued to trade with light volume as they struggled to gain footing following months of weakness. 38% of the stocks rose in price, with 5 double-digit percentage gainers and 7 double-digit percentage losers. Stocks with volume above the 30-day average rose from 26% to 32%, with one stock trading over $5mm in value. Three of the ten highest dollar-volume stocks rose in price as four stocks traded above $1mm. Benzinga's 420 Marijuana Index fell by about 2 points to 294. The index is up 83% year-to-date but down substantially from the 1010 peak in March.
Stocks moving more than 5% on more than $500K in volume included Vape Holdings (VAPE) and Minerco Resources (MINE) to the upside and CannaVest (CANV), American Green (ERBB) and Creative Edge Nutrition (FITX) to the downside.
